Pie Party 2009
Here is some of the fun from Thanksgiving, we had dinner at the Kurtz's which was fabulous!! Then we drove over to the Hunters for pie, I didn't take very many pictures but here is a short video that captured some of the fun of having 18 cousins all together, I was amazed that so many fit around the table! I am sorry I haven't been giving many updates or any lately. I have been traveling for the past month and haven't had much of an opportunity. I am back in Vienna though. Its been pretty hard to readjust but then again it hasn't. Its just hard to be traveling non-stop and then not come home to your own bed and your family. Life is wonderful though. Scotland was magical. I promise that Nessy is REAL! The captain showed us a legitamate picture of her neck. It was pretty awsome but scary because the water was so black but it was spectacular and Melissa my friend that I traveled with even got a little bottle of Loch Ness water!
Austria.
The best story of my life. A couple weeks ago I was watching Marriage of Figaro at Staatsoper and I was sitting next to this nice lady that noticed that I didn't have the best seat because I could only see half the stage, I was on the far side of the box. I left and went to talk with my friends for intermission and when I came back she took me with her to the box right next to ours. She then introduced me to her husband and he kindly offered me a front row seat. I really couldn't believe it that they noticed that a seat in the front was free and because "I was a poor student" I was able to see the entire stage the 2nd and 3rd act. It was absolutely sureal because I was sitting in a 100 euro seat. Marriage of Figaro is one of my favorite operas now and there is no need to explain why. Another crazy thing that happened to me that night also...I was going into my box after intermission and then all of a sudden I see this handsome young british man that looks exactly like the man who plays Angel in Tess of the Durbevilles. Yes it was him and I could see him from my front row seat so crazy. OH and then tuesday night I sitting waiting for Swan Lake to begin in the Staatsoper in one of the boxes and the SAME lady walks in and sits right in front of me. It was the nicest suprise because I never imagined that I would see her again. It was a pleasant suprise and she told me about all these different operas that are coming up. I am very grateful to be here I just wish you could be here with me. I lOVE you all.
I miss you all.
