WEIR OF THE WEEK

I have everyones name in a bag (all 40 of us) and every week I think we should spotlight someone in our family. We can find out fun things about everyone. This week I drew Sheilah Weir. Let's all learn about Sheilah. We would like to hear about your favorite things. Not just the normal favorites but unusual favorites as well. I would then ask if everyone would post a favorite memory or just a uplifting comment about the person of the week. It will be fun if everyone will participate. When it is a childs turn, I would ask the parent of the child chosen to post some fun favorite things. Also, post pictures of that person. I'll let you know who is chosen every Sunday. It will be fun.

Sheilah Hubbard Weir
Birthday September 5th
Mother of 10
Grandmother of 21
She's lived in five different countries
She loves black licorice
Favorite Color used to be blue and then green and now I don't know
One of my favorite recent memories of mom is when she ran around Chicago with me and we bought Garrett's Popcorn. It was so fun to have a day just the two of us, eventhough we were freezing our booties off. She is one of the most loving and giving people I know. I just like to be near her and listen to whatever she has to say. She is a wize woman. I love my mom.

What a fun idea, Ane. you're so clever. Mom is a good one to start off with. The first thing to come to mind is how pretty I always though she was when I was a teenager. Especially, when she would wear her pink curlers and her bright green eyes would stand out so much. I also would love it when she'd do her dance that Dad would tease her about. I think that it is so original. Mom has never been one to follow the crowd and I really admire her for that. Love, JLH

Lets see my most favorite thing is the long walks we took in Germany, those were always so much fun. I am so glad to have a mom that loves to walk and go to the library as well. Another thing I like about her is her spunky personality she sure can run fast went she wants to hide from her loving, sweet, a little noisy fifth child!!!

I'm so thankful for mom because she taught me to love being a mom! She taught me to enjoy changing a poopy diaper just so I could make a basket throwing it in the trash. She taught me to love the smell of stinky newborn hands and neck, and not freak out about a little spit up. She taught me to make up silly songs about all of my kids names. She taught me to make a perfect pony tail on a wiggly seven year old. She made me love spending some time every afternoon reading to my kids. Most important she taught me that it's not just our work but it's the Lord's work and to spend time everyday on my knees including Him in all that I do. I can't imagine a more important wonderful career and I'm so thankful Mom taught me that. Love, Sarah

For if I love blossoms and meadows and walking, I learned how to love them, dear mother, from you. I am studying my lesson for Sunday and its on the Savior. A quote from the lessons is "all your losses will be made up to you in the resurrection, provided you continue faithfull." I hope to make up for the time lost that we don't spend together in this life. Everytime you come to stay with me I thank Heavenly Father for it but wish for more. I love seeing you with my children and I love the spirit you bring to our home. I admire you beyond words and love you more. Happy Star of the Week to you!
